I’ve just read an article which says that Muslims are the most satisfied with their lives, according to a study conducted by Dr. Laura Maire Edinger-Schons in Germany. Actually, as a Muslim, this revelation is not a surprise for me, perhaps other Muslims too. But it makes me more proud, and of course, increases my faith in this beautiful religion. The study has summed up that People who believe in oneness — the idea that everything in the world is connected and interdependent — appear to have greater life satisfaction than those who don’t, regardless of whether they belong to a religion or don’t. Though the study wasn’t meant to focus on religions, the result which showed that Islam is winning over other religions as the religion with the highest life satisfaction has come to be another revelation about how the life of Muslim people actually is.
Edinger-Schons found a significant correlation between scores on her oneness scale and the concepts associated with oneness, suggesting that it was a valid measure of the concept.
